Added new data storage option for accounts. By default, we deleted all time and expense records older than 14 months from the MC2 online system, this does not effect records submitted to QuickBooks. Customers can now choose to keep those records online with MC2 for up to 62 months. Please see our pricing page for charges. To change the default data storage time, select a storage option in the "Billing Summary" area in the administrators account.
Added new custom time validation checks. MC2 will now create custom validation checks for timesheets beyond our standard checks that can enforce company specific rules such as overtime and ensuring correct selections for fields such as Customer:Job, Payroll Item, Service Item and Class. See our pricing page for more information.

10/26/2008
Reorganized "My Account" screen for the administrator to better separate user and global preferences.
Added "Use timesheet billable status when automatically creating bills for vendors" option under global preferences to set the billable status for bills created for vendor timesheets.
10/12/2008
Added "Disable login" check to disable a user's login. Previously, the only option was to make a user inactive, which made the user 'invisible' for everyone but the administrator. Disabling a user's login prevents the user from logging in but the user's information such as time and expenses are still visable for approvers and administrators.
Added changes to not display "InActive" Customer:Jobs as selectable items. Previously, this was enforced by updating a time group when the Customer:Job was made 'InActive' in QuickBooks.

5/25/2008
Added "Inactive user account maintenance fee" calculation in the "Billing Summary" area of the "Account" page. Invoices sent out when your bill is due will also show this fee calculation. This fee will not take effect until June 29, 2008. This is mainly to recover the cost of maintaining the time and expense data on our website for users who are not active.
Added "Delete Data" on the user list screen so that you can delete the time and expense data for inactive users to avoid the above fee, the user's login information will not be deleted.
4/13/2008
Added "Remember Me" option on login page to pre-fill in the user login name. Also added calendars to the time sheet, time approval and time status screens to select a date instead of having to scroll through the list.
3/16/2008
Two major changes in this release listed below:
Added new option on the way the timesheet can be displayed. Users can now choose to "Display timesheet rows on multiple lines" if they enable that option in their "Account" settings. Using this option, each row of the timesheet will be on multiple lines (rather then the default one line) and users do not have to scroll left and right because the selection boxes are too big to fit on the screen. |
You now have the option for Employees of selecting how an expense is created in QuickBooks. The previous, default method always created a check in QuickBooks, the only method for entering employee expenses in QuickBooks. Many customers end up creating two id's in QuickBooks, one for the employee to record normal activities such as timesheets, and another, vendor id, for the employee in order to record expenses using Bills. With MC2, now you can associate a QuickBooks vendor id to the employee in order to create a Bill instead of a check in QuickBooks for expenses. |
3/4/2008
Added new option in user's Account settings for Time Zone, now users have the option of displaying time as local. If a user changes their Time Zone, they must also adjust any email notification settings to match since all previous settings were for EST. Also added expense "Description", "Qty", "Cost" and "Amount" as labels that can be changed in "Text and Labels".
2/24/2008
Added BETA support for United Kingdom versions of QuickBooks.
2/10/2008
Changed employee/vendor select dropdowns on time and expense screens to default to the first one, removed "Please Select" as the default.
1/27/2008
Added BETA support for Australian versions of QuickBooks. Minimum and maximum hour settings in time groups now support fractional hours.
1/13/2008
Updates to the timesheet Copy/Paste feature to better preserve the Billable indicator and to correctly Paste to partial weeks.
1/16/2008
Major changes to the approval process, some minor user setting enhancements and new setting for Canadian customers.
| USER PREFERENCES changes |
"Do not use previous weeks hours" has been reworded to be "Copy hours" under the "populate new week" option. |
Added new option "Copy notes" under "populate new week" to copy notes to the next week. |
| APPROVAL PROCESS changes |
Can now have up to 4 levels of approvals (1-4). When defining a user as an approver, you can now select what level the user is. |
Current customers, all approvers are set to level one. The approval process continues to work as usual. |
If more than 1 level is defined, the time and expenses are passed to the next approver in the chain. Time and expenses will be sent to QuickBooks only when the highest level in the chain approves. The MC2 administrator can override the process and approve at any time. |
Time Status Report will show all approvers that have approved and the time the approval occurred. |
Enhanced the cache to support offline approvals and status. The final approval still requires QuickBooks to be connected so that time and expenses can be sent. Approval levels should be set so that the final approver is at a higher level than all others. |
| CANADIAN EDITION changes for QuickBooks 2008 |
For 2008, there are two versions of QuickBooks being offered to Canadian customers (QuickBooks 2008 and QuickBooks 2007). We have added a new country option to support Canadian customers who purchase or upgrade to QuickBooks 2008, they should select the "Canada (QuickBooks 2008)" radio button in the administrators profile when they upgrade. |
